Uniden PCD2000 Cellular Phone Setup


Use these menus to set up the features of the PCD2000.

Press MENU 1.  Chooses System Menu.

Press MENU 2.  Chooses Volume Menu.

Press MENU 3.  Chooses Timer Menu.

Press MENU 5.  Chooses NAM Select.

Press MENU up or down arrow.  System Select.

Press MENU up or down arrow.  Earpiece Speaker Volume.

Press MENU up or down arrow.  Total Call Timer.

Press MENU up or down arrow.  NAM #1 Select.

Setting Volumes

Sets volume for Ringer, Earphone, Key Tone and System Busy signal.  You
can set these volumes while talking on your phone.

1.  Press MENU 2.
2.  Press MENU.  
    Note:  Press up or down arrow to see other volumes.
3.  Select a volume and press MENU.
4.  Press arrow up for higher volume, or down arrow for lower volume.
5.  Press MENU to store the change.  Or, to cancel and return to Standby,
    press end or clear.

Setting Call Timers

LAST CALL:  Shows length of the last call made or answered (in minutes and
            seconds).
TOTAL CALL:  Shows total length of all calls made or answered.

1.  Press MENU 3.
2.  Press MENU again.  Then, press arrow up or down to select timer
    function.
3.  Press arrow down.  Display shows total length of all calls made or
    answered.
4.  Press MENU to return to Standby.  To reset the Total Call Timer, see
    the next section.
    Note:  The Last Call Timer is reset each time you make or answer a call,
           or turn the phone OFF.

To reset the Total Call Timer

1.  Press MENU, 3, MENU, arrow down, arrow down.
2.  Press MENU.
3.  Enter the Lock Code (Factory preset is 0 1 2 3).
4.  To reset, press MENU.  To cancel and return to Standby, press MENU.

Setting Systems for the PCD2000

If the "NSVC" indicator appears, you may be out of your service area, or
your system may not be set correctly.  

1.  Press MENU 1.
2.  Press MENU again.  Then, press arrow up or down to see other options.
3.  Now, press MENU to select a system option.
4.  Press MENU once more to store any change.  Or, to cancel and return
    to Standby, press end or clear.

Selecting Number Assignment Modules (NAM)

NAMs prevent unnecessary long distance or ROAM charges.  Your service
provider can register two NAMs in the PCD2000.  

1.  Press MENU 5.
2.  Press MENU.  The current NAM is shown.
3.  To see the other NAM, press arrow up or down.
4.  To select the NAM shown, press MENU.  To cancel and return to Standby,
    press end or clear.
