A CONVERSATION WITH GORDON DOMM

I phoned Gordon in Guelph, to invite him to the DOCTOR-Q. Having never 
spoken to the man, I wasn't sure what his reaction to the invitation would 
be. After explaining that the Doctors were hosting a BBQ for the INTERNET 
and the press, and that it might be instrumental in raising the public's 
awareness of how poorly the government of ontario has handled the Homolka 
affair, he stated, "Yes, I'll be there". 


Domm went on to say:
"The Ontario government has made a mistake in assuming they have federal 
powers." "The ban is flawed legally, and it is not consistent with the 
democratic principle of open criminal trials." 


Gordon Domm, ban-breaker, is a retired OPP officer living in Guelph. 
Domm first made national news for thumbing his nose at the publication ban 
surrounding the Karla Homolka trial. Domm was arrested for mailing out the
banned Washington Post article on TV. Domm and Mike Wass, are the only two 
people to date who have actually been arrested for breaking this useless ban.


"It's an unusual coincidence that my court appearance falls on a Friday 
before a long weekend" said Gordon. "If found guilty, I can only appeal 
their decision so it may take until Monday before we could file." 
(Does this mean Domm may have to spend the weekend in jail?)


I asked Gordon if he had heard of his 'electronic' double, Abdul- 
"The Electronic Gordon Domm". He replied "Oh yes, that's his alias is it not?"
"I have a friend who keeps me semi-informed on the INTERNET discussions" 
I asked him if he had ever been online and he said not as yet. Gordon has 
received a good deal of support for his position, though he seemed unaware of 
his INTERNET popularity. 


We'd love to see Domm online.

I'll take a moment to address the forgery of a NET.SCANDAL issue. 
It created a situation I had anticipated, a shot below the belt. It is
a technique used liberally by the establishment, undermining activists
is an old sport. In the past, I've received mail from (of all people, 
the FBI), stating "We have noted your attitudes." This came after a series 
of postings on the merits of hemp over alcohol, that I had made to Usenet 
and Onenet. I must laugh it off as a forgery, or a crank who is out spook me. 
You have to wonder though...


The NET.SCANDAL "Is There A Doctor" forgery, slanderously portrayed me as 
a person who had been arrested for trafficking pornography to the nets. 
The author originated from a First Class BBS in Toronto, apparently an 
illegal login, who has since been removed from the system. 


Naturally, I must consider this to be a coverup. 


The author (aka.Gerald Carter) had too much access to be a novice user. 
The post was made from the NewsRoom, but was gated to a Usenet
conference, only available on the TVOntario BBS, and several Magic-BBS 
forums. This is not regular procedure, or many users would be posting to 
this newsgroup from other FC boards, and this is the first time I had seen 
a remote post to TVO. One would need a good command of a FC interface to 
achieve this end, so Carter was/is obviously First Class literate. 
Another interesting point is the fact that this 'bogus' author had
accounts at three FC BBSs, MAGIC, NewsROOM and TVO BBS. 


More blatant evidence of a coverup, is the style and jargon used in the 
forgery. Carter forged Abdul's sig file, posted to very specific newsgroups,
and is aware of Baptista and Allisat. He had access on at least three First 
Class sites and is very familiar with online terminology. He is obviously a
veteran user, whether he used that name all along is another argument. 
I have no doubt he is hiding somewhere under his real name, in some smarmy
corner of cyberspace. 


What fun it would have been to hang Gerald in a civil court. I'm somewhat 
dismayed the character used an alias. I would relish the opportunity to
easily fill my purse with his hard earned money! That's the nice thing 
about the character assassins, they can't stand the clear light of day.
Gerald, (or whoever you are) I must assume you're reading this. It must
be frustrating for you to not be able to respond, you poor twit!

TEALE-TALES

Karla Homolka, will be out in a year or two. In a plea-bargaining deal 
referred to by a Canadian judge as "the venereal disease of our justice 
system", Karla was sentenced to 12 years for her part in the snuff movie
murders of two teenage girls for profit. This in exchange for testifying 
against her estranged husband who is awaiting trial in September.
Canada is still suffering a complete publication ban on her testimony 
and the evidence that convicted her.


The alt.fan.karla-homolka newsgroup has been widely censored by many
INTERNET providers recently. After the recent OPP investigations into
the people responsible for the creation of the group, many sites dropped
access to the newsgroup altogether.


Our hard-fought civil rights are now regarded as criminal activities by the 
government. Even the "grand poobahs"(admins) of cyberspace have bent over, 
for a hard government rogering. The police have made it clear that they will 
seize equipment at systems who disregard the publication ban, in spite of the 
fact that the INTERNET is out of the tubby Attorney General's jurisdiction! 


Recently, the main contributors to "Teale-Tales", have abandoned the 
controversial alt.fan.karla-homolka newsgroup, for a more effective venue. 
The creation of the "teale-tales" mailing list has eluded a push to 
shut the discussion down, for the moment anyways.
